Roche Diagnostics Launches New Web Site for Physician Information and Services

Demonstrating its role as a global leader in actionable healthcare information, Roche Diagnostics' Point of Care business recently launched www.diavant.us, an Internet portal designed to provide physicians with rapid access to medical information, and to offer professional support for the Roche Diagnostics' Point of Care product portfolio.

Sixty-two percent of physicians use the Internet daily and Roche Diagnostics is leading the industry with quick and easy access to near-patient testing and diagnosis information at one point of entry: www.diavant.us. Diavant (pronounced "di-ah-vant") contains information about Roche Point of Care products, practice management reimbursement tips, diagnosis and monitoring. The information is categorized and made available exclusively to physicians who register with the site.

Categories of information:

Product Search - visitors simply click on the expertise (cardiology, urology, etc.), disease, analyte or a specific product, and the web page with the appropriate product information is located. An interactive product demonstration details how the products are to be used. In addition, the page provides a link to a "where to buy" web page for easy access to the products.

Analytes - detailed information about analytes and their corresponding tests are provided.

Diagnosis & Monitoring - written by physicians, this section provides information about several diseases, including medical background, prevention, diagnosis, and patient monitoring data about those specific diseases.

Practice Management - offers information about the medical and economic value of Point-of-Care Testing, and provides published articles and information about US Medicare Reimbursement.

Events - identifies conferences and meetings where Roche is demonstrating and exhibiting Point of Care products.

Support - provides product training modules through online interactive animation or through CD-Roms that can be ordered ; technical support; a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section; and reagent and supply stock numbers for easy ordering that can be accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

"Diavant.us is an effective platform and tool for the Point of Care physician community," said Sunil Hazaray, Director of Sales and Marketing, Roche Diagnostics Near Patient Testing. "This web site provides a unique offering and is another example of Roche's dedication to providing healthcare professionals with solutions to make their jobs easier."
