CMP Media InformationWeek 500 Listing of Most Innovative Users of Technology
Roche Diagnostics Corporation has been named to CMP Media LLC's InformationWeek 500, a prestigious listing of the most innovative users of information technology in the United States. Roche Diagnostics came in at No. 54 out of a total of 500 companies that made the list.
For 17 years, the InformationWeek 500 has tracked organizations' information technology (IT) agendas, providing a unique opportunity to understand and examine their business practices across core areas of technology operations. Companies named to this list demonstrate a pattern of technological and organizational innovation. Capital One, which is ranked No.1, followed by SC Johnson & Sons Inc., Eastman Kodak Co. and BellSouth Corp, are some of the household names being honored for their innovative IT practices.
“This is a great honor to be recognized by InformationWeek as being 54th out of the Top 500 most innovative users of information technology in the United States and a great achievement for Roche Diagnostics’ North America IT team. We have implemented key business-technology strategies that InformationWeek considers to show bottom line efficiency and innovation,” said Tom Kegley, V.P. of Information Technology at Roche Diagnostics North America.
"The InformationWeek 500 companies will invest, in aggregate, 3 percent of their annual revenue on IT this year - an average cash outlay of $293 million. Collectively, the nation's most innovative users of technology will spend a total of $147 billion on information technology this year," said Stephanie Stahl, editor-in-chief of InformationWeek. "Content filtering and content management software are among the most widely deployed products, while improved spam filtering, increased desktop security, and desktop operating system upgrades are some of the widespread IT initiatives aimed at improving company productivity. And to improve the efficiency of business operations, this year's IT innovators have devoted time to increase the use of automated processes, improve data integration between systems or departments, and established business-process frameworks to improve the running of business tasks."
